5th Axis Fixtures are manufactured from hardened alloy steel to exacting standards. Our innovative fixtures have superior clamping force and are more efficient than any traditional vice or workholding system on the market. With machining access to 5 surfaces of the work piece, parts can be completed in the least number of operations.
The P4344 is a 4 sided pyramid that utilises 4, 8 or 12 of our D051251WM Dovetail Fixtures. This setup is ideal for small production parts (stock sizes 1/2" and under). The modular nested design of the pyramid allows for the utmost flexibility in one compact unit. Each side holds 3 D051251WM fixtures, the fixtures can be added or removed depending on your part size.
A recent study showed that the savings gained from utilizing our dovetail fixtures outweighed the cost of adding the dovetail prep operation 2 to 1.
